Have you ever wondered why is it that bad things happen to good people? Have you ever doubted the goodness of God? Have you ever doubted that God is actually good?
It can be sometimes confusing because there are people who are doing really good things in life and they aren’t really bad people, but they experience something very difficult. Maybe someone else who doesn’t seem to be honoring God that much or they are living not in a way that is moral or good, they seem to be doing ok. So why does God allow bad things to happen to good people? To be honest, this is one of the hardest questions to answer.
Looking to Scripture and drawing from the excellent work of Tim Keller in his book: The Reason for God, Pastor Bogdan dives deep into this question to communicate to all of us that just because we don't see any conceivable reason as to why bad things happen to some people, that is not necessarily evidence that there there isn't a good reason. In fact, the very existence of suffering is actually pointing to the fact that we do have a good God. Jesus took upon Himself our suffering so that we could live forever. Jesus is a God who can relate to us when we suffer.
