The book of Genesis tells the story of God creating and bringing order and function into the earth, the rebellion of humanity against divine authority, and God’s unfolding plan to restore creation and humankind to his original purposes through His son Jesus Christ.
We see from the first pages of Scripture that creation is closely linked with consecration. God set apart the heavens and the earth, light from darkness, water from dry land, and day from night. God's ultimate consecration was dedicating His Son Jesus as the Savior of humans. In this, we see that just like God set apart Jesus, in order to save humans, we too must live wholly consecrated lives, whereby there is not an area in our life, that isn't fully devoted to the Lord.
